Ascent Equity Group is led by Daniel Williams and Joseph Saliba. Their experience and entrepreneurial drive create a dynamic platform for the successful investment in and management of a growth company.
Prior to co-founding AEG, Daniel worked at CCMP Capital, a private equity firm that has invested over $13 billion in buyout and growth equity transactions since 1984. At CCMP Daniel evaluated and managed investments across the energy, consumer/retail and industrial sectors. Prior to CCMP, Daniel worked in the Oil & Gas investment banking group at Lehman Brothers in New York and Hong Kong.
Raised in Texas, Daniel is a native Spanish speaker and has also spent time working and living in Mexico and China. Daniel holds an MBA from Columbia Business School and a BBA in Finance from Southern Methodist University.

Prior to co-founding AEG, Joseph worked as a management consultant in McKinsey & Company’s New York and Dallas offices. At McKinsey Joseph advised financial services and pharmaceutical companies on growth strategy, marketing and operations improvement and provided transactional advice for private equity clients. Joseph began his career in the Oil & Gas sector as an engineer with Shell Oil’s midstream business in Houston. While there, he worked to maintain and expand Shell’s pipeline and distribution infrastructure in the United States and abroad.
A native Texan, Joseph is fluent in Spanish and Arabic and has previously spent time working and living in both Mexico and the Middle East. Joseph holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame.
